SAT Brisbane to Darwin
Today fly to Darwin. On arrival you will make your way to your accommodation, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore Darwin. Overnight: Darwin Central Hotel or similar

SUN Kakadu National Park (L)
Depart Darwin and travel east into World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. You will visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre for an insight into the cultural and historical significance the park holds for its traditional owners. Join a guided boat cruise on Yellow Water billabong, Kakadu’s most famous wetland area. Keep a look out for saltwater crocodiles, birds and beautiful waterlilies. After lunch, travel to Nourlangie Rock art site and view the ancient galleries of Aboriginal rock art. Overnight: Aurora Kakadu or similar

MON Kakadu to Darwin (L)
Travel by 4WD to Ubirr to see superbly preserved Aboriginal rock art. Join an Aboriginal guide for the Guluyambi Cruise on the East Alligator River. Learn of the flora, fauna, Aboriginal mythology and history of the region from your guide. Along the way, with special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land (conditions permitting) and enjoy lunch in a bush setting. Later, stop at Window on the Wetlands and watch the changing light of day over the floodplains. Overnight: Darwin Central Hotel or similar, 2 nights

TUE Darwin
This morning is free for you to do some shopping or relax by the pool. This afternoon you will be taken on your City Sights Tour of Darwin. With an expert guide you will see the Chinese Temple, the lush Botanical Gardens, the East Point Military Precinct, Stokes Hill Wharf area and the Mooring Basin. There is also time to explore the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.

WED Darwin to Alice Springs
This morning you will make your way to the Darwin Railway Station for your 10am departure onboard The Ghan. Settle into your choice of accommodation and enjoy this splendid hotel on wheels. On arrival into Katherine there will be time to enjoy a cruise on the Katherine Gorge (additional cost). Overnight: The Ghan, 2 nights

THU Alice Springs to Adelaide
This morning arrive into Alice Springs, where you will have time to explore the town. If you would like to extend your stay in Alice Springs, please ask your consultant for details. Reboard The Ghan to continue your journey this afternoon.

FRI Adelaide to Brisbane
Arrive into Adelaide at 12.30pm, after completing one of the world’s great train journeys. Join a connecting flight to return home. Perhaps spend a few extra nights in Adelaide. Your consultant can make these arrangements for you.
